Item Open Access American Bonds: How Credit Markets Shaped a Nation(American Journal of Sociology, 2020) Ruef, MartinItem Open Access Archaeologies of the ghost, by Serge Margel(Um teatro de espectros sem nome: Arqueologias do fantasma, de Serge Margel) Sanches Duarte, Mateus; Martins da Silva, GabrielThis review discusses Serge Margel's book, Arqueologias do fantasma: técnica, cinema, etnografia, arquivo(2017). The book is the result of seven conferences held in Brazil between 2015 and 2016 and offers a deep reflection on the transition from the 'society of the spectacle' to the 'spectral society.' It is organized into three sections that explore the ghostification of social relations, where subjects are reduced to mere objects of a discourse devoid of subjectivity. In this context, Margel's work provides a significant analysis of the role of critical theory in a social context marked by ghostification.Item Open Access Between Monopoly and Free Trade: The English East India Company, 1600-1757(Contemporary Sociology, 2015) Ruef, MItem Open Access Book Review: Giani Stuparich, One Year of School and The Island, translated by Charles Klopp and Melinda Nelson(Forum Italicum: a journal of Italian studies) Ziolkowski, SaskiaItem Open Access Challenging Social Inequality: The Landless Rural Workers(The Latin Americanist) Knoll, TravisItem Open Access Enumerations: Data and Literary StudyPasswords: Philology, Security, AuthenticationThe Digital Banal: New Media and American Literature and Culture(American Literature, 2020-12-01) Vadde, AarthiReview essay on digital literary studies. Item Open Access Item Open Access Invited Remarks on The Twilight of Cutting(Somatosphere: Science, Medicine, and Anthropology (online), 2019) Wilson, AraInvited remarks on Saida Hodžić, The Twilight of Cutting: African Activism and Life after NGOs.Item Open Access O diagrama antropofágico: configurações heterocrônicas do modernismo brasileiroMartins da Silva, Gabriel; Sanches Duarte, MateusNesta resenha, analisaremos o livro Saudades do mundo: Notícias da Antropofagia (Todavia, 2022), de Eduardo Sterzi. Item Open Access Oduduwa’s Chain: Locations of Culture in the Yoruba-Atlantic(African and Black Diaspora: An International Journa, 2018-08-06) Apter, AndrewItem Open Access Protectors of Pluralism: Religious Minorities and the Rescue of Jews in the Low Countries during the Holocaust(Social Forces, 2020-08-05) Ruef, MartinItem Open Access Review of Acting, Spectating and the Unconscious by Maria Turri(Theatre Research International, 2018) Gobert, R DarrenItem Open Access Review of American Vandal: Mark Twain Abroad by Roy Morris, Jr.(2017) Lai-Henderson, SelinaItem Open Access Review of Another Aesthetics is Possible, by Jennifer Ponce de León(Chasqui, 2022) Evinson, Katryn
