My research explores the literature, political theology, and public rhetoric of Reformation-era
London, focusing on drama, liturgy, pamphleteering, and sermon cycles. I defended
my dissertation, Performing the Protestant State: Preaching and Playing from Marprelate
to Milton, in May 2021. I previously completed an M.A. at the University of Virginia
in medieval literature, and a B.A. (Hons., summa cum laude) at Hillsdale College.
