Description
Richard Myers, telephone interview by Kathryn Maxson and Robert Cook-Deegan, conducted from Durham, NC, 29 November 2011. After postdoctoral work at Harvard, Myers received faculty positions at the University of California, San Francisco (1986) and then Stanford University (1993). While at Stanford, Myers directed the Stanford Human Genome Center and also served as chair of the Department of Genetics. Through his role at the Human Genome Center, Myers participated in the Human Genome Project. He moved to the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in 2008. This transcript is available beginning 1 July 2014.
