dc.description.abstract	This thesis surveys a selection of fiction and non-fiction by Okinawan author and activist, Medoruma Shun. The attempt is to explore Medoruma's unique depiction of the continuous effects of the Battle of Okinawa on Okinawa and Okinawan people up to the present.
