Abstract
Energy efficiency and conservation are considered one of the most important and easy to implement ways of reducing energy consumption and associated carbon emissions. This MP evaluates various energy efficiency and conservation measures on the basis of technological feasibility and energy and financial cost benefit analysis. The various energy efficiency and conservation measures identified include LED lighting, residence halls summer power down, steam plant efficiency, vending machines energy miser, Pearson Cafeteria(window film and exhaust hoods), heating ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC), building envelope and other general recommendations. The final results are presented for each energy efficiency and conservation project. It includes the cost of project, estimated annual energy savings, estimated annual energy cost savings, CO2 reductions and simple payback for the project.
