Abstract

In the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences at San José State University (SJSU), we adopted a culturally responsive and reflective approach as part of our commitment to recruiting and retaining diverse students and faculty—and supporting their advancement. We did this by attending to the three Cs: departmental Climate, Clinical education opportunities, and Collectivism: revisiting and changing our processes based on collective input.
