dc.description | LaDeana Hillier, telephone interview by Kathryn Maxson and Robert Cook-Deegan, conducted from Durham, NC, 5 April 2012. Hillier was director of informatics at the Washington University Genome Sequencing Center in St. Louis, beginning in 1989 and continuing through the end of the HGP. While there, she held responsibility for transitioning all of the EST sequence information from the Merck Gene Index Project into the public nucleotide databanks. It was in this capacity that she participated in the Bermuda meetings. This transcript is available beginning 1 July 2014.
