Abstract

This project enhances U.S. Coast Guard maritime domain awareness through geospatial intelligence dashboards. The primary focus is on strengthening Marine Environmental Response by improving oil spill forecasting, identifying pollution trends, and enabling faster, more targeted response operations. These ArcGIS dashboards also enhance federal regulation of Living Marine Resources by visualizing enforcement data, identifying repeat violators, and supporting sustainable fisheries management. Current systems may limit situational awareness and proactive enforcement. These interactive dashboards allow operators to analyze five year historical patterns, monitor environmental risks, and prioritize high impact areas. GIS widgets support predictive analytics, operational planning, and data driven trends that lead to an increase in industry compliance. By consolidating archived data into this visual platform, the Coast Guard can improve both environmental protection, regulatory oversight, and sustainability. Enhanced GIS capabilities enable more effective allocation of resources across multiple mission areas. Ultimately, this initiative strengthens maritime enforcement, safeguards marine ecosystems, and supports more proactive intelligence driven operations.
