Abstract
This thesis explores the culture of the Duke, lower income, financial aid student and how they navigate their differences on a campus known for its wealth. It also delves into the the ways in which cultural capital inform their time here and their dis-identification with the American Dream, as well as provides insight into their time at Duke.
