dc.description.abstract | On September 19, 2016, the United Nations General Assembly Member States unanimously passed the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants. The Declaration renews the global community's commitment to respect the human rights of refugees and migrants and makes plans for the development and release of two global compacts delineating that commitment - one on migrants and one on refugees. This study focuses on the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR), providing a preliminary evaluation of effectiveness by examining how compatible the GCR is with the current refugee conditions in Serbia. | |
