Abstract
<jats:p> Malaria is a vector-borne disease caused by <jats:italic>Plasmodium</jats:italic> sporozoites. When an anopheline mosquito bites its host, it releases <jats:italic>Plasmodium</jats:italic> sporozoites as well as saliva components. </jats:p>
