Sean Eddy, telephone interview by Kathryn Maxson and Robert Cook-Deegan, conducted from Durham. NC, 15 March 2012. A noted bioinformaticist, Sean Eddy completed postdoctoral training at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge from 1992-1995, where he worked with John Sulston and Richard Durbin. From 1995 through the completion of the HGP, he worked at Washington University School of Medicine and was an HHMI investigator there from 2000-2006. Though he did not participate directly in the Bermuda meetings, from his positions at two epicenters of the HGP he gained valuable perspectives on the Project.
