dc.description.abstract | Over the past ten years, states have increasingly started to implement wellness programs for state employees as a way to curb rising healthcare costs and the growing prevalence of chronic conditions. Many states are offering incentives as part of their wellness programs to motivate healthier behaviors and improve overall health outcomes for state employees. This Master’s Project examines the different types of incentives and disincentives that states are providing through wellness programs and considers the effects that these programs may be having on state employee health and wellness. | |
