LibGuides 2.0 usability test - November 2015

Abstract

Emily Daly and Emma Boettcher conducted usability testing on LibGuides 2.0 in the Perkins lobby on November 17, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. A pilot was conducted with Canon Brodar, the student AUX assistant, the previous day. The test consisted of a short set of background questions, three tasks, and five post-test questions. The order of the tasks alternated between participants, either beginning with the Literature LibGuide task or ending with it, but keeping the order of the two Image LibGuide questions the same. The test lasted approximately 7-10 minutes. See Appendix for usability test script.
